Sarah Barnes Celebrant

I'm Sarah, I live in the beautiful Peak District and I'm lucky enough to share my life with my husband, our daughter and a collection of small furry ones.

I became a celebrant as I love the creation of celebrations and have the essential skills to help others through the pivotal moments of life. The role of a Celebrant is based around the celebration of love, surely the best job in the world! Whether it's a happy occasion such as welcoming a new life, the joining of two people, or the sadness of losing a loved one; my role is to be the guardian of stories and the protector of memories.

My education background is in Hospitality and Catering and Events management, I have been a secondary teacher for many years and have always loved running my own small business alongside my roles in education. My love of crafts and making inspires me on a daily basis and my training to become a Celebrant was both life changing and vocational.

We have one life and I intend to celebrate every part of it.
