What a year!

Admittedly, writing a blog is not something I've been familiar (or comfortable) with until now. But looking back on the last 12 months I think of all the new people I've met, new experiences I've had and life lessons I've learnt. Then I realise I've not recorded any of these wonderful memories anywhere. So here we are in my news pages.

I feel so lucky to have found my role as a Celebrant as it feels a little like coming home. I look at all my jobs, training and businesses through the years and it seems like all roads lead to here. I love meeting newly engaged couples at wedding fairs and those initial meetings, full of excitement and possibilities. I take comfort in being there to support grieving families and hope that when I'm in the same position, that I may be a little more prepared to cope with the loss. I revel in immersing myself in literature, music, film and art searching for the perfect piece to create beautiful, meaningful Ceremonies for others and I am truly grateful for all those wonderful suppliers of craft and service that I now get to call colleagues.

There's always something to inspire me and I can't think of anywhere I'd rather be.
